Episode 2: Sayeed Choudhury on using Open Source at Johns Hopkins University to map COVID-19
November 14th, 2020 | 42 mins 49 secs
On this podcast, we will talk about how open source has made an impact on the world at a large when it has gone from a computer’s terminal all the way through cities, it’s principalities, governments, universities, and anywhere it needs to go to make an impact. Today, my guest is Sayeed Choudbury, who works at John Hopkins University and lives in Baltimore. He tells us the interesting work he’s done with OSPO at John Hopkins. He also talks about the Four Pillars of University and all the work that John Hopkins has done in helping with COVID, one being the COVID Map, which ironically started as a research project and has become a worldwide resource. Also, we learn how John Hopkins is helping the St. Francis Neighborhood Center in Baltimore.
